Switching · TablePro
Switching from TablePro.
Your TablePro connections come over, with their SSH and SSL settings. Passwords stay in TablePro: you type each one once, and it goes to your Keychain.
Three steps
- Install saferow from the download page. The free tier needs no account and no license.
- Choose File › Import from Sequel Ace, TablePlus or TablePro… Your TablePro connections are listed first. Press Set up on one.
- Connect once. saferow checks every step, from SSH to Safe reads, and saves the connection only when it works. If a step fails, it says which and how to fix it.
What comes over
- Every MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres and SQLite connection: engine, host, port, user, database and the SQLite file’s path. Sample connections are skipped.
- SSH settings: host, user and port; a connection that requires SSL keeps requiring it.
- Your
~/.ssh/confighosts, folded into servers.
What doesn’t
- Passwords and SSH key files: choose the key and type the password once; both stay in your Keychain.
- Connections to the other engines TablePro supports.
- Saved queries, colours, groups and tags.
- Environment labels: saferow guesses which connections are production and asks you.
What’s different day to day
- Agent writes are decided by a kernel: dry-run, counted, and held for one approval bound to the count.
- Rewind is in the free tier.
- saferow sends no telemetry, so there is nothing to turn off.
Nothing in TablePro is changed: saferow reads its list and leaves it as it was. saferow and TablePro, compared.
