saferow1. Who sells saferow
saferow is made by Deokwon Song, a sole proprietor in the Republic of Korea (“the seller”, “we”). You can reach the seller at support@saferow.app. “saferow” means the macOS app, its updates, its command-line and MCP components, and its documentation.
2. Accepting these terms
By downloading, installing or using saferow, or by buying a license, you agree to these terms. If you use saferow for an organization, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you may do so. If you don’t agree, don’t install or use saferow.
3. Paddle is the merchant of record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Purchases are also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms. Prices are shown at checkout in your currency, with any tax Paddle collects.
4. The license
saferow is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms, the seller grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to install and use saferow as follows:
- Free tier. Anyone may use the free tier, for personal or commercial work, on any number of Macs, at no charge.
- Pro and Student. One license is for one person, on up to 3 Macs that person uses. The Student license is for people in full-time education and is otherwise the same as Pro.
- Business. One license covers the number of seats bought. Each seat is for one person, on up to 3 Macs. A seat may be given to someone else when its person no longer uses saferow.
- Lasting. A paid license does not expire. It covers the public beta and every 1.x release; later major versions may be offered separately, at a price announced before they ship.
To activate a paid license, the app records each Mac with saferow.app once, as the privacy page describes. You can deactivate a Mac in Settings › License and activate another.
5. Updates and the beta
The seller may release updates but is not obliged to, and may change or remove features of the free tier or of later versions. Pre-release versions, including the public beta, may have defects and are provided for evaluation; keep your own backups while you use them.
6. What you may not do
- Copy, sell, rent, lend, sublicense or redistribute saferow, or a license key, except as section 4 allows.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble saferow, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it despite this restriction.
- Remove, bypass or tamper with license checks, signatures or notices.
- Use saferow in breach of law, including export controls and sanctions, or against systems you are not authorized to access.
Checking how saferow behaves on your own systems — its network connections, the grants it uses, the escape tests on the security page — is welcome, and reporting what you find to security@saferow.app is appreciated.
7. Your databases and your decisions
saferow works on databases you connect it to, with credentials you give it, at your instruction. You remain responsible for those systems, for having the right to access them, and for the changes you approve. The Safety Kernel, approvals, restore points and Rewind reduce risk; they are not a backup, and they can’t guarantee that a change can always be undone. Keep backups of data that matters.
Answers, SQL and plans written by AI models can be wrong. saferow shows them to you before anything writes; deciding whether to approve is yours.
8. Models and other services
AI models you download or use through saferow are licensed by their makers, and remote services you choose — OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI, Hugging Face, Ollama, LM Studio — are provided under their own terms, with your own account or key. The seller is not responsible for them. saferow includes open-source components that remain under their own licenses, which these terms do not change.
9. Your data
The seller does not receive your databases, queries or conversations. What the app and this site do with information is described on the privacy page, which is part of these terms.
10. Refunds
You can get a full refund within 30 days of purchase, for any reason, through Paddle; the refund policy explains how. A refunded license is revoked and may no longer be used; the free tier stays available. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
11. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, saferow is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. The seller does not warrant that saferow will be free of errors or that it will prevent every unwanted change to your data.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the seller is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue or business, arising from or related to saferow, however caused. The seller’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your saferow license in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence where that applies.
13. Ending the license
You may stop using saferow at any time. If you materially breach these terms, your license ends and you must stop using saferow. Sections 7, 8 and 11 to 16 continue after the license ends.
14. Changes to these terms
The seller may update these terms; the date at the top will change, and material changes will be noted in the release notes. The terms in force when you bought a license continue to govern that license’s grant in section 4.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the competent courts of the Republic of Korea, unless the consumer protection law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring them in your own courts.
16. Everything else
If a part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. saferow and its mark are trademarks of Deokwon Song; these terms grant no right to use them. Questions about these terms: support@saferow.app.
