Pro for students, at half price.

The same Pro license, with a 50% code: $12 instead of $24, on 3 Macs, with every 1.x update. Ask with your school email address and the code comes back by email.

An address at your university or school, such as one ending in .edu or .ac.kr.

How it works

  1. A school address we recognise (.edu, .ac.country, .edu.country, or a university on the public lists saferow checks) gets a code by email at once, with a link that opens checkout with it filled in.
  2. Any other address gets an email asking for a photo of a dated student ID. A person reads it and sends the code by hand.
  3. The code is for one purchase of Pro and lasts 14 days. One code per address every 12 months.

Nothing about you is stored beyond what this needs: a salted hash of the address and when the code was sent, so the same address can’t ask twice in a year. Paddle, which sells saferow, sees what you type at checkout, as for any purchase. Privacy.

The free tier needs no code at all: the classic client, the whole Safety Kernel, 7-day Rewind and the agent for reading are free for everyone, for school work too.
