The license email has a button, Open in saferow, and the license attached as saferow.saferow-license. On your Mac, press the button or double-click the file. saferow checks the license’s signature on your Mac, shows what it is, and asks before it activates anything.
You can also open Settings › License and drop the file, or paste the whole email’s text (⌘V): saferow finds the license in it.
Activating records this Mac once with saferow.app: a one-way id made from the Mac and the license, and its model, such as “MacBook Pro”. The license is then checked offline every time saferow starts.
Moving it
A Pro license is for one person on up to 3 Macs; Business has 3 Macs per seat. To use it on another Mac when all are taken:
- In Settings › License, press Show my Macs.
- Press Release on a Mac you no longer have or use. Its place goes back to the license.
- Activate on the new Mac.
On the Mac you are leaving, Deactivate this Mac does the same for that Mac.
A lost license
In Settings › License, press Email me my license and type the address you bought with. saferow.app sends every license bought with it to that address, and answers the same whether or not there is one. Check the spam folder too.
After a refund
A refunded license moves the Macs it is on to the free tier, within seconds on a Mac that is online. Nothing is deleted. How refunds work.
